# Angelo Baroni

**Angelo Baroni** (1553 – November 1612) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as [Bishop of Chioggia](/source/Bishop_of_Chioggia) (1611–1612) and [Bishop of Kotor](/source/Bishop_of_Kotor) (1604–1611).

## Biography

Angelo Baroni was born in [Venice](/source/Venice), [Italy](/source/Italy) and ordained a priest in the [Order of Preachers](/source/Order_of_Preachers).[1][2] On 11 February 1604, he was appointed during the papacy of [Pope Clement VIII](/source/Pope_Clement_VIII) as [Bishop of Kotor](/source/Bishop_of_Kotor).[1] On 22 February 1604, he was consecrated bishop by [Girolamo Bernerio](/source/Girolamo_Bernerio), [Cardinal-Bishop](/source/Cardinal-Bishop) of *Albano*, with [Agostino Quinzio](/source/Agostino_Quinzio), [Bishop of Korčula](/source/Bishop_of_Kor%C4%8Dula), and Gregorio Servanzi, [Bishop of Trevico](/source/Bishop_of_Trevico), serving as co-consecrators.[1] On 31 August 1611, he was appointed during the papacy of [Pope Paul V](/source/Pope_Paul_V) as [Bishop of Chioggia](/source/Bishop_of_Chioggia).[1] He served as Bishop of Chioggia until his death in November 1612.[1]
