# Andy Sutton (cricketer)

**Andrew Peter Sutton** (born 29 November 1985) is an English former [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who played as a right arm [medium-fast](/source/Fast_bowling) [bowler](/source/Bowling_(cricket)) and right-handed [batsman](/source/Batting_(cricket)) for [Somerset](/source/Somerset_County_Cricket_Club), [Herefordshire](/source/Herefordshire_County_Cricket_Club) and [Wiltshire](/source/Wiltshire_County_Cricket_Club).[1] He joined Somerset after impressing for [Gloucestershire Second XI](/source/Gloucestershire_County_Cricket_Club) in a match against Somerset Second XI in May 2007 and was awarded a one-year contract for the 2008 season, at the end of which he was released without having made a first-team appearance.[2] However, he later appeared for Somerset against [Cardiff MCC University](/source/Cardiff_MCC_University) in what turned out to be his only [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) match from 31 March to 2 April 2012.[3] He took a wicket in each innings and did not bat.[4]
