Mitchell was educated at [St Mary's College, Crosby](/source/St._Mary's_College%2C_Crosby), and [Queen's College, Oxford](/source/The_Queen's_College%2C_Oxford), where he held the Laming Scholarship and a College Bursary. == Career ==
