**Andersen Harbor** ([64°19′S 62°56′W](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=64_19_S_62_56_W)) is a small [bay](/source/Bay) in the [Melchior Islands](/source/Melchior_Islands), [Palmer Archipelago](/source/Palmer_Archipelago), [Antarctica](/source/Antarctica), formed by the concave west side of [Eta Island](/source/Eta_Island_(Palmer_Archipelago)) and the north end of [Omega Island](/source/Omega_Island). It was charted by [Discovery Investigations](/source/Discovery_Investigations) in 1927 and probably named after Kapt. [Ola Andersen](/source/Ola_Andersen) of the [factory ship](/source/Factory_ship) [*Svend Foyn*](/source/Svend_Foyn_(ship)), following the usage of Norwegian whalers that had operated in the area. The harbor was surveyed by [Argentine](/source/Argentine) expeditions in 1942, 1943 and 1948.
