**Amy Wren** (born 14 October 1989)[1] is an English actress. She is best known for her roles in the Disney series [Life Bites](/source/Life_Bites), [Silk (TV series)](/source/Silk_(TV_series)), [Skins (British TV series)](/source/Skins_(British_TV_series)), [The Last Kingdom (TV series)](/source/The_Last_Kingdom_(TV_series)) and [Viewpoint (TV series)](/source/Viewpoint_(British_TV_series)).

## Personal life

Wren attended *Parsnips Youth Theatre* in Harborough for four years. She was featured in the *Mail* in July 2006, when she and two others from Parsnips were chosen to be a part of the *National Youth Theatre*.[2]

## Career

Wren started acting when she was talent spotted by [Disney UK](/source/Disney_UK) at the age of 16. She was then engaged for [Disney](/source/Disney)’s comedy sketch show *[Life Bites](/source/Life_Bites)*, playing the lead role as Chloe.[3] She moved onto working with [Nickelodeon](/source/Nickelodeon_(TV_channel)) in *[Genie In The House](/source/Genie_In_The_House)* and *[Summer in Transylvania](/source/Summer_in_Transylvania)*.[4][5] In 2010 she appeared in [Andrea Arnold](/source/Andrea_Arnold)'s film adaptation of [Emily Brontë](/source/Emily_Bront%C3%AB)’s novel *[Wuthering Heights](/source/Wuthering_Heights)*, in which she played Frances Earnshaw.[6] In 2016 she played Lady Evelyn Herbert in [Guy Burt](/source/Guy_Burt)'s TV mini-series *[Tutankhamun](/source/Tutankhamun)* which is the story of the archeologist [Howard Carter](/source/Howard_Carter), who discovered the tomb of [Tutankhamun](/source/Tutankhamun).[7]
