# Amphidon

***Amphidon*** is an extinct genus of [Late Jurassic](/source/Late_Jurassic) mammal from the [Morrison Formation](/source/Morrison_Formation). It is present in stratigraphic zone five.[1] Two species have been named in the genus: *Amphidon superstes* and *Amphidon aequicrurius*, by [Simpson](/source/George_Gaylord_Simpson) in 1925.[2][3]
