He spent most of his career with Perak.[4] Amirul plays mainly as a [right-back](/source/Defender_(association_football)#Full-back) but can also play as a [winger](/source/Midfielder#Winger).[5] ## Club career ### Perak Amirul began his football career with [Perak youth team](/source/Perak_FA_President_and_Youth) before got promoted to the first team in 2014. He was part of the youth team which won the [President Cup](/source/Piala_Presiden_(Malaysia)) in 2012.[6] Amirul made his Malaysia Super League debut for [Perak](/source/Perak_TBG_F.C.) in a 1–1 draw against [PKNS](/source/PKNS_F.C.) on 8 March 2014.[7] He become a regular in 2015 season and played 10 matches in all competition for Perak.[8] In 2018, he won the Malaysia Cup with Perak after defeating Terengganu in the final. ### Kedah Darul Aman Amirul signed with Kedah on 7 December 2021.[9] He made his debut on 12 March 2022 in the Malaysia FA Cup match against SAINS FC where Kedah won 4-0. ### Harini FT Amirul left Kedah after the 2022 season ended.
