**Amelia Flanagan** (born 6 June 2008)[1] is an English actress who has appeared as [April Windsor](/source/April_Windsor) in the [ITV](/source/ITV_(TV_network)) [soap opera](/source/Soap_opera) *[Emmerdale](/source/Emmerdale)* since 2014.[2][3]

## Early and personal life

Flanagan was born in [Leeds](/source/Leeds), [West Yorkshire](/source/West_Yorkshire), to parents Rachel and Chris Flanagan.[4] Her younger twin siblings, Isabella and William, have been playing the roles of cousins [Hope Stape](/source/Hope_Stape) and [Joseph Brown](/source/Joseph_Brown_(Coronation_Street)) in *[Coronation Street](/source/Coronation_Street)* since 2017.[5]
