# Ambatomainty

**Ambatomainty** is a rural town in western [Madagascar](/source/Madagascar).[1] It is the principal town in the [Ambatomainty District](/source/Ambatomainty_District), [Melaky](/source/Melaky) Region, approximately 220 kilometres north-west of the capital [Antananarivo](/source/Antananarivo).

It is served by [Ambatomainty Airport](/source/Ambatomainty_Airport) and the unpaved [National road 8c](/source/Route_nationale_8c_(Madagascar)) from [Morafenobe](/source/Morafenobe) (108 km).
