**Ambah** is one of the 230 [Vidhan Sabha](/source/Madhya_Pradesh_Vidhan_Sabha) (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of [Madhya Pradesh](/source/Madhya_Pradesh) state in central [India](/source/India). This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the [Scheduled castes](/source/Dalit)[1] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile [Madhya Bharat](/source/Madhya_Bharat) state.[2]

Ambah (constituency number 8) is one of the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in [Morena district](/source/Morena_district). This constituency covers the entire Porsa [tehsil](/source/Tehsil), part of Ambah tehsil and Ambah municipality.[3]

Ambah is part of [Morena Lok Sabha constituency](/source/Morena_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)).[3]
