**Amad Butt** (born 10 May 1995) is a [cricketer](/source/Cricket) from [Punjab](/source/Sialkot%2C_Punjab), Pakistan.[3][4]

## Domestic career

He was the leading wicket-taker for [Habib Bank Limited](/source/Habib_Bank_Limited_cricket_team) in the [2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy](/source/2017%E2%80%9318_Quaid-e-Azam_Trophy), with 39 dismissals in eight matches.[5]

In April 2018, he was named in [Federal Areas](/source/Federal_Areas_cricket_team)' squad for the [2018 Pakistan Cup](/source/2018_Pakistan_Cup).[6][7] He was the leading wicket-taker for [Habib Bank Limited](/source/Habib_Bank_Limited_cricket_team) in the [2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_Quaid-e-Azam_One_Day_Cup), with fifteen dismissals in nine matches.[8] In March 2019, he was named in [Balochistan](/source/Balochistan_cricket_team)'s squad for the [2019 Pakistan Cup](/source/2019_Pakistan_Cup).[9][10] He was the joint-leading wicket-taker in the tournament, with ten dismissals in five matches.[11]

In September 2019, he was named in [Balochistan](/source/Balochistan_cricket_team)'s squad for the [2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy](/source/2019%E2%80%9320_Quaid-e-Azam_Trophy) tournament.[12][13] In October 2019, the [Pakistan Cricket Board](/source/Pakistan_Cricket_Board) (PCB) named him as one of the six players to watch ahead of the [2019–20 National T20 Cup](/source/2019%E2%80%9320_National_T20_Cup) tournament.[14]

Butt [captained](/source/Captain_(cricket)) [Sialkot](/source/Sialkot_cricket_team) to a one-wicket victory in the final of the [2024–25 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_Quaid-e-Azam_Trophy). He took 4 for 51 and 2 for 66 and scored 10 and 65 (the highest individual score on either side), and won the [player of the match](/source/Player_of_the_match) award.[15] Later that season he captained [Pakistan Television](/source/Pakistan_Television_cricket_team) to a three-wicket victory in the final of the [2024–25 President's Trophy](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_President's_Trophy).[16]

## International career

In November 2019, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the [2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup](/source/2019_ACC_Emerging_Teams_Asia_Cup) in Bangladesh.[17] In January 2020, he was named in Pakistan's [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) (T20I) squad for their series [against Bangladesh](/source/Bangladeshi_cricket_team_in_Pakistan_in_2019%E2%80%9320).[18] In November 2020, he was named in Pakistan's 35-man squad for their [tour to New Zealand](/source/Pakistani_cricket_team_in_New_Zealand_in_2020%E2%80%9321).[19] In January 2021, he was named in Pakistan's T20I squad for their series [against South Africa](/source/South_African_cricket_team_in_Pakistan_in_2020%E2%80%9321).[20]
