**Altrip** (German pronunciation: [\[ˈaltʁɪp\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Standard_German); [Palatine German](/source/Palatine_German_dialects): *Aldrib*) is a municipality in the [Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis](/source/Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis), in [Rhineland-Palatinate](/source/Rhineland-Palatinate), [Germany](/source/Germany). It is situated on the left bank of the [Rhine](/source/Rhine), approx. 7 km southeast of [Ludwigshafen](/source/Ludwigshafen). The population in 2022 was 7,728.
