**All Saints Records** is a British [independent record label](/source/Independent_record_label) specialising in [post-rock](/source/Post-rock), [downtempo](/source/Downtempo) and [ambient](/source/Ambient_music) music.

## History

All Saints Records was established on 1 November 1991 by [Dominic Norman-Taylor](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dominic_Norman-Taylor&action=edit&redlink=1) (formerly of Opal Records).[1] Originally formed as an independent record label with distribution through [Pinnacle](/source/Pinnacle_Entertainment_(United_Kingdom)), All Saints licensed the label through [Hannibal Records](/source/Hannibal_Records) until Warner Bros bought Hannibal in 2006 and closed it down. It is now closely associated with [Warp Records](/source/Warp_Records) for international marketing and distribution.

Its initial releases closely followed those of Opal Records which had ceased as a label in 1990, its first being ‘Flow Goes The Universe’ by New York artist [Laraaji](/source/Laraaji). Other artists followed including [Biosphere](/source/Biosphere), [Marconi Union](/source/Marconi_Union) and [Dallas Acid](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dallas_Acid&action=edit&redlink=1).[2]

The label has released three artworks by Brian Eno, [Mistaken Memories of Mediaeval Manhattan](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mistaken_Memories_of_Mediaeval_Manhattan&action=edit&redlink=1), [Thursday Afternoon](/source/Thursday_Afternoon) (on a single DVD) [3] and [77 Million Paintings](/source/77_Million_Paintings)

The label is named after [All Saints Road](/source/All_Saints_Road_(London)) in West London [4] despite being established on [All Saints Day](/source/All_Saints_Day).
