Khamseh boycotted the [Fajr International Film Festival](/source/Fajr_International_Film_Festival) in protest of the [government](/source/Government_of_Iran)'s crackdown of the [2025–2026 Iranian protests](/source/2025%E2%80%932026_Iranian_protests).[2][1]
