# Alien Vampires

**Alien Vampires** is a [music group](/source/Musical_ensemble) from [Italy](/source/Italy) which performs in the [industrial](/source/Industrial_music), [EBM](/source/Electronic_body_music) and [dark electro](/source/Electro-industrial#Dark_electro) genres and is led by Nysrok Infernalien.[2]

## History

The band was founded in 2003[1] by [guitarist](/source/Guitarist) and [keyboardist](/source/Keyboardist) Nysrok Infernalien, who also played in Bloodline and [Aborym](/source/Aborym).[3] The project aimed to explore different soundscapes by combining elements of [psy trance](/source/Psy_trance), [industrial](/source/Industrial_music), [EBM](/source/Electronic_body_music) and [metal](/source/Heavy_metal_music).[4] Nysrok's interest in [paranormal](/source/Paranormal) phenomena and the [supernatural](/source/Supernatural) served as a major influence on the band's direction.[5]

In 2003, [synthesist](/source/Synthesizer) Nemesis joined the group, contributing to its conceptual and compositional development.[3] In 2004, keyboardist and [drummer](/source/Drummer) Nightstalker joined Alien Vampires, sharing a passion for the work of Spanish photographer J.A.M. Montoya, as well as for bondage, sadomasochism, and drugs that would influence and define the overall concept of Alien Vampires.[6] The band extensively uses satanic, BDSM, porn-blasphemous, and occult imagery in their album covers, stage performances, and music videos. According to Nysrok, Alien Vampires were the first to introduce this aesthetic to the harsh scene.[7]

In 2004, the Alien Vampires recorded its first musical compositions, which the musicians described as Horror Trance.[8] Shortly afterwards, the project released *I’m Dead Fuck You* online. In 2005, Alien Vampires signed a contract with the Italian label Kold Finger, which released their debut album *Evil Generation* (2005)[9] and the 2007 EP *Nuns are Pregnant*.[8]

In the summer of 2006, the track *I Fuck Nuns* was released on the compilation *New Signs & Sounds*, which was included as an audio supplement to the German magazine *[Zillo](/source/Zillo)*. In 2007, the track *Evil Generation* appeared on the compilation *Noise Terror 2 — World Wide Electronics*, curated by Johan Van Roy of [Suicide Commando](/source/Suicide_Commando). That same year, Alien Vampires signed a contract with the American label BLC Productions to release their second full-length album *No One Here Gets Out Alive*.[8][10]

After releasing the first two albums the project gained popularity among fans of extreme electronic music.[11] In 2010, Alien Vampires signed a contract with the Belgian label Alfa Matrix.[12] The first album released on the new label was *Harshlizer*. The album cover artwork caused controversy when several magazines refused to promote or review the album due to its depiction of nudity and apparent disrespect of religion.[13]

In 2011, the band performed concerts in North America, Australia, and in the UK at Infest 2011.[14][15]

In 2015, the album *Drag You To Hell* was released,[16] followed by EPs and remix compilations. *Drag You To Hell* featured guest appearances by members of [Ministry](/source/Ministry_(band)), [Mayhem](/source/Mayhem_(band)), and [Psyclon Nine](/source/Psyclon_Nine).[17] The band's next full-length studio album, *Return Me To Hell*, was released in 2023. Nysrok Infernalien explained the long break by logistical difficulties, as he lives in [London](/source/London) and Nightstalker is based in [Milan](/source/Milan).[7]

## Collaborations

The cover of [Skinny Puppy](/source/Skinny_Puppy)'s track *Assimilate*, featured on album *Return Me To Hell*, marked the last recording of [Joey Jordison](/source/Joey_Jordison),[18] the former [Slipknot](/source/Slipknot_(band)) drummer who died in 2021. The cover was recorded in collaboration with Electhrone, [Attila Csihar](/source/Attila_Csihar) ([Mayhem](/source/Mayhem_(band))) and Istvan Zilahy ([Plasma Pool](/source/Plasma_Pool)).[19]

Alien Vampires invited the techno body act Chainreactor for a jam session on the track *Hyperbolic Doubt*.[20] Alternative model and cage dancer Dani Devine contributed vocals to 2023 EP *Witchy Bitchy*.[19]

Alien Vampires have also participated in numerous collaborations with Suicide Commando, [In Slaughter Natives](/source/In_Slaughter_Natives), Diabolos, and other bands.[6]
