# Alice Priestley

**Alice Priestley** (born 1962 in [Toronto](/source/Toronto))[1] is a Canadian children's writer and illustrator. She has illustrated or written books published by [Annick Press](/source/Annick_Press), [Key Porter Books](/source/Key_Porter_Books), and [Second Story Press](/source/Second_Story_Press).

Priestley studied fine art and English at the [University of Toronto](/source/University_of_Toronto). She lives in Toronto with her family.[1]
