**Aliabad-e Chalus** (Persian: علی‌آباد چالوس)[a] is a village in [Kelarestaq-e Sharqi Rural District](/source/Kelarestaq-e_Sharqi_Rural_District)[1] of the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Chalus_County)) in [Chalus County](/source/Chalus_County), [Mazandaran](/source/Mazandaran_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran).

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 834 in 225 households.[2] The following census in 2011 counted 934 people in 287 households.[3] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 944 people in 315 households.[4]

## Geography

The village is a suburb of the city of [Chalus](/source/Chalus,_Iran), south of city limits and near the northern end of the [Tehran-Shomal Freeway](/source/Tehran-Shomal_Freeway). Villages bordering Aliabad-e Chalus are [Darkala-ye Olya](/source/Darkala-ye_Olya) to its southeast, [Hoseynabad-e Sofla](/source/Hoseynabad-e_Sofla,_Mazandaran) to its northwest, [Mazuposhteh](/source/Mazuposhteh) to its south, and [Tejen Kola-ye Sofla](/source/Tejen_Kola-ye_Sofla) to its west.[5]
