**Ali Nassirian** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): علی نصیریان; born February 4, 1935) is an Iranian actor.[3][4] He has received various accolades, including two [Crystal Simorghs](/source/Crystal_Simorgh), a [Hafez Award](/source/Hafez_Awards), an Iran's Film Critics and Writers Association Award and a Sepas Award. Nasirian, [Mohammad Ali Keshavarz](/source/Mohammad-Ali_Keshavarz), [Ezatollah Entezami](/source/Ezzatolah_Entezami), [Jamshid Mashayekhi](/source/Jamshid_Mashayekhi) and [Davoud Rashidi](/source/Davoud_Rashidi) are known as "the five most important actors in the history of Iranian cinema" because of their influence.

## Film career

He first appeared in a supporting role in [Dariush Mehrjui](/source/Dariush_Mehrjui)'s *[The Cow](/source/Gaav)* (1969) alongside [Ezatollah Entezami](/source/Ezatollah_Entezami). Nassirian then played the title role of *[Mr. Naive](/source/Mr._Naive)* (1970), also by Mehrjui.
