'''Alfred Sharp''' (3 February 1881 – 1 September 1966) was an [Australian rules football](/source/Australian_rules_football)er who played for the [Fitzroy Football Club](/source/Fitzroy_Football_Club) and [Carlton Football Club](/source/Carlton_Football_Club) in the [Victorian Football League](/source/Australian_Football_League) (VFL).

When Sharp appeared for Fitzroy in the [1903 VFL Grand Final](/source/1903_VFL_Grand_Final) it was just his fifth league game and would also be the first loss of his career.<ref name=AFLTables>[http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/A/Alf_Sharp.html AFL Tables: Alf Sharp]</ref> He was a [back pocket defender](/source/back_pocket) in Fitzroy's premiership winning team [the following season](/source/1904_VFL_season).<ref name=AFLTables/>
