# Alexandra Swayne

**Alexandra Swayne** (born April 27, 2000) is an American [professional golfer](/source/Professional_golfer) representing the [United States Virgin Islands](/source/United_States_Virgin_Islands).[1] She plays on the [Ladies European Tour](/source/Ladies_European_Tour), where she was part of the team finishing runner-up at the 2022 [Aramco Team Series – Jeddah](/source/Aramco_Team_Series_%E2%80%93_Jeddah).[2]

## Early life and amateur career

Swayne was born in [Cincinnati, Ohio](/source/Cincinnati,_Ohio) and began playing golf at the age of 12. At 15, she won the Drive, Chip & Putt National Championship at [Augusta National Golf Club](/source/Augusta_National_Golf_Club).[3] In 2018, she won the Golfweek Junior Tour Championship and was an [AJGA](/source/American_Junior_Golf_Association) Rolex All-American.[4]

Swayne enrolled at [Clemson University](/source/Clemson_University) in 2018 to play with the [Clemson Tigers](/source/Clemson_Tigers) women's golf team, and graduated after three years in 2021. She became the first golfer at Clemson to qualify for both the [U.S. Women's Amateur](/source/U.S._Women's_Amateur) and [U.S. Women's Open](/source/U.S._Women's_Open) in the same year.[5][6]

## Professional career

Swayne turned professional in 2022 and joined the [Ladies European Tour](/source/Ladies_European_Tour), where she has recorded top-10 finishes at the 2022 [Joburg Ladies Open](/source/Joburg_Ladies_Open) and 2024 [Jabra Ladies Open](/source/Jabra_Ladies_Open). She was runner-up alongside [Christine Wolf](/source/Christine_Wolf_(golfer)) and [Laura Beveridge](/source/Laura_Beveridge) at the 2022 [Aramco Team Series – Jeddah](/source/Aramco_Team_Series_%E2%80%93_Jeddah), where they lost the team championship in a playoff to a team captained by [Nicole Garcia](/source/Nicole_Garcia_(golfer)).[7]
