# Alexandra Jackson

**Alexandra Elizabeth Jackson** (born 10 June 1952) is a [Manx](/source/Isle_of_Man) former competitive swimmer.

## Swimming career

She won a [bronze medal](/source/Bronze_medal) in the women's 100-metre freestyle at the [1970 European Aquatics Championships](/source/1970_European_Aquatics_Championships).[1] She competed for Great Britain at the [1968 Summer Olympics](/source/1968_Summer_Olympics) in Mexico City, in the 100- and 200-metre freestyle, and the 4×100-metre freestyle and 4×100-metre medley relay events; her best achievement were sixth places in the 100-metre freestyle and 4×100-metre medley relay.[2] In the medley relay she competed with [Margaret Auton](/source/Margaret_Auton), [Wendy Burrell](/source/Wendy_Burrell) and [Dorothy Harrison](/source/Dorothy_Harrison).[3]

She is a four times winner of the [British Championship](/source/British_Swimming_Championships_-_100_metres_freestyle_winners) in 100 metres freestyle (1967-1970) and the [200 metres freestyle](/source/British_Swimming_Championships_-_200_metres_freestyle_winners) in 1968.[4][5][6]
