# Alexander Schuck

**Alexander Schuck** (born 18 May 1957) is an [East German](/source/East_Germany) [canoe sprinter](/source/Canoe_sprint) who competed in the 1980s. He won two medals in the C-2 1000 m event at the [ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships](/source/ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships) with a gold in [1985](/source/1985_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships) and a silver in [1983](/source/1983_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships).

Schuck also finished fifth in the [C-2 500 m event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_1988_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_C-2_500_metres) at the [1988 Summer Olympics](/source/1988_Summer_Olympics) in [Seoul](/source/Seoul).

A native of [Leipzig](/source/Leipzig), he is married to [swimmer](/source/Swimming_(sport)) [Silke Hörner](/source/Silke_H%C3%B6rner).
