Kermode was born in [Sydney](/source/Sydney). He appeared in 80 [first-class matches](/source/first-class_cricket) as a right-arm [fast-medium](/source/fast_bowling) bowler and right-handed tail-end [batsman](/source/batting_(cricket)).
