'''Alexander Conrady''' (16 July 1903 – 21 December 1983) was a German general during [World War II](/source/World_War_II) who commanded the 36th Infantry Division.  He was a recipient of the [Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves](/source/Knight's_Cross_of_the_Iron_Cross) of [Nazi Germany](/source/Nazi_Germany). Conrady was taken prisoner by Soviet troops during [Operation Bagration](/source/Operation_Bagration) on the night of the 30th of June 1944 while traveling in a halftrack containing two other German Generals, General Hoffmeister and General Engel.
