# Alex Warner

**Edward Alexander Warner Jr.** (born November 11, 1942) is an American politician who served as a [Democratic](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)) member of the [North Carolina House of Representatives](/source/North_Carolina_House_of_Representatives) representing the 45th district, including constituents in [Cumberland County](/source/Cumberland_County,_North_Carolina).[3] A retired educator from [Hope Mills, North Carolina](/source/Hope_Mills,_North_Carolina), Warner served his ninth and last term in the 2003–2004 session before losing in the Democratic primary to Democratic Representative [Rick Glazier](/source/Rick_Glazier). Following his defeat in the Democratic Primary, Warner changed his party affiliation to [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)).[4] He was born in Fayetteville.[5]
