===Mantova===
Born in [Guastalla](/source/Guastalla), Emilia-Romagna, Valentini started his career at [Mantua](/source/Mantua), Lombardy, about {{convert|30|km|0|abbr=on}} away. Primary a youth team player, he was assigned number 88 shirt of the first team in [2006–07 Serie B](/source/2006%E2%80%9307_Serie_B) season. He was loaned to [Sambonifacese](/source/AC_Sambonifacese) and won the promotion playoffs of [2007–08 Serie D](/source/2007%E2%80%9308_Serie_D). The club then signed him in [co-ownership](/source/co-ownership_(football)) deal.
