**Alexander Joshua Solowitz** (born December 15, 1979) is an American actor, composer, singer, dancer, and producer.

## Early and personal life

Solowitz was born in the [San Fernando Valley](/source/San_Fernando_Valley), Los Angeles, California to a large Jewish family. He has a younger sister Aleeza Solowitz, a columnist who also works in the film industry and lives between Los Angeles and New York.[1]

## Career

Solowitz portrayed Mickey Parke, a member of the fictional parody boy band [2ge+her](/source/2gether_(band)) in the [2000 TV film](/source/2gether_(band)#Television_film), as well as [the eponymous TV series](/source/2gether_(American_TV_series)), both premiered on [MTV](/source/MTV). Later, he appeared on a number of television shows, including *[Everybody Loves Raymond](/source/Everybody_Loves_Raymond)*, *[Just Shoot Me!](/source/Just_Shoot_Me!)*, *[ER](/source/ER_(TV_series))*, *[No Ordinary Family](/source/No_Ordinary_Family)*, *[Cousin Skeeter](/source/Cousin_Skeeter)*, *[Last Man Standing](/source/Last_Man_Standing_(American_TV_series))*, and *[Justified](/source/Justified_(TV_series))*.

He also appeared as Dave in "One Shot, One Kill", a first-season episode of *[NCIS](/source/NCIS_(TV_series))*.

Solowitz appeared in the film *[Gardens of the Night](/source/Gardens_of_the_Night)* with [John Malkovich](/source/John_Malkovich). He also played Brett in the 1999 film *[Never Been Kissed](/source/Never_Been_Kissed)*, Bobby "911" in the 2006 film *[Alpha Dog](/source/Alpha_Dog)*, and Sebastian in the 2012 dark comedy *[Small Apartments](/source/Small_Apartments)*.
