He worked as a sound engineer at Translab Studio, notably for [Angèle](/source/Ang%C3%A8le_(singer)), [Clara Luciani](/source/Clara_Luciani), [Lomepal](/source/Lomepal), [-M-](/source/Matthieu_Ch%C3%A9did), [Mr. Oizo](/source/Mr._Oizo), [Gesaffelstein](/source/Gesaffelstein) and [Etienne Daho](/source/Etienne_Daho). Latrobe has contributed a great amount to the [French touch](/source/French_house) movement of the 1990s.

== Career ==
Latrobe began his musical career playing bass in the band Orange with future Air members [Jean-Benoît Dunckel](/source/Jean-Beno%C3%AEt_Dunckel) and [Nicolas Godin](/source/Nicolas_Godin). After the group split, he began to create electronic music and embarked on a successful solo career.

Latrobe's musical style mainly consists of sampling, along with recruiting vocal talent. His track "Brain Leech (Bugged Mind Remix)" has been featured in ''[Grand Theft Auto IV](/source/Grand_Theft_Auto_IV)'', playing on the Electro-Choc radio station. "The Child" was featured in the movie ''[Amélie](/source/Am%C3%A9lie)'';<ref>{{Cite web | url=http://www.soundtrackinfo.com/OST/amelie/ |title = SoundtrackINFO: Amelie Soundtrack}}</ref> it samples from [Billie Holiday](/source/Billie_Holiday)'s "[God Bless the Child](/source/God_Bless_the_Child_(Billie_Holiday_song))".

A remix of [Jamiroquai](/source/Jamiroquai)'s "[Black Capricorn Day](/source/Black_Capricorn_Day)" was released on their sampler EP ''[An Online Odyssey](/source/An_Online_Odyssey)'' in 2001; the track in question is listed as "Black Capricorn Day" (White Knights Remix).
