# Alet

The **Alet** is a river in southwestern [France](/source/France). The river is a right tributary of the [Salat](/source/Salat_(river)). The total length is 19.6 km (12.2 mi) from its source in the [Ariège](/source/Ari%C3%A8ge_(department)) department in the [Pyrenees](/source/Pyrenees) to where it empties into the Salat, near [Seix](/source/Seix).[1] The Alet is part of the [Garonne](/source/Garonne) basin.
