The '''Albuquerque Silvers''' were an American [basketball](/source/basketball) team based in [Albuquerque, New Mexico](/source/Albuquerque%2C_New_Mexico), which was a member of the [Continental Basketball Association](/source/Continental_Basketball_Association) (CBA). The team was coached by [Norm Ellenberger](/source/Norm_Ellenberger), the former coach of the University of New Mexico men's basketball team.<ref>{{cite news|title=Ellenberger hired|url=https://www.nytimes.com/1983/02/10/sports/sports-people-ellenberger-hired.html|accessdate=4 July 2011|newspaper=New York Times|date=10 February 1983}}</ref> The franchise was run by P. Patrick McKernan who was also the president and general manager of the [Pacific Coast League](/source/Pacific_Coast_League) [Albuquerque Dukes](/source/Albuquerque_Dukes).<ref name="UPI"/>
