**Albin Harrell "Rip" Collins** (September 27, 1927 – April 9, 2006) was an American professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [halfback](/source/Halfback_(American_football)) and [punter](/source/Punter_(American_football)) in the [All-America Football Conference](/source/All-America_Football_Conference) (AAFC) and the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). Collins played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [LSU Tigers](/source/LSU_Tigers_football) and was selected by the [New York Bulldogs](/source/New_York_Yanks) in the 6th round of the [1949 NFL draft](/source/1949_NFL_draft). Collins played for the [Chicago Hornets](/source/Chicago_Hornets) (AAFC) (1949), [Baltimore Colts](/source/Baltimore_Colts_(1947%E2%80%9350)) (NFL) (1950), and the [Green Bay Packers](/source/Green_Bay_Packers) (NFL) (1951).[1]
