**Albert F.[1] Erhardt** (1862 – 30 August 1929) was a British lawyer, judge, and [colonial administrator](/source/British_Empire).

Erhardt graduated from [Worcester College, Oxford](/source/Worcester_College%2C_Oxford) in 1885 with a degree in Classics.[2] He began practicing Law in 1889, before joining the [colonial service](/source/Colonial_Office) in 1896 as District Commissioner of [Lagos](/source/Lagos), now in [Nigeria](/source/Nigeria). He went on to become [Resident of Ibadan](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Resident_of_Ibadan&action=edit&redlink=1), as well as Attorney-General and Treasurer of Lagos (succeeding [F. C. Fuller](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=F._C._Fuller&action=edit&redlink=1), in 1902).[3] In February 1903 he became [Attorney-General of Fiji](/source/Attorney-General_of_Fiji),[4] serving until 1914. During this period he also filled in for [Sir Charles Major](/source/Charles_Henry_Major), the [Chief Justice of Fiji](/source/Chief_Justice_of_Fiji) and [Chief Judicial Commissioner for the Western Pacific](/source/Chief_Judicial_Commissioner_for_the_Western_Pacific), from 1910 to 1911, while Major was acting in an interim capacity as [Governor of Fiji](/source/Governor_of_Fiji) and [High Commissioner for the Western Pacific](/source/High_Commissioner_for_the_Western_Pacific).[5] In his role as Attorney-General, he also served in the [Executive Council](/source/Executive_Council_of_Fiji) and [Legislative Council](/source/Legislative_Council_of_Fiji).[6]

In 1914, he returned to Africa as a judge of the [British East Africa](/source/British_East_Africa) Protectorate. His final post, in 1920, was as a temporary assistant legal adviser in the Colonial Office.[7]
