# Alanna Nihell

**Alanna Nihell** (; born 14 October 1985)[1] is a Northern Irish [amateur boxer](/source/Amateur_boxer).

Nihell competed at the [2014 Commonwealth Games](/source/Boxing_at_the_2014_Commonwealth_Games) where she won a bronze medal in the [women's lightweight](/source/Boxing_at_the_2014_Commonwealth_Games_%E2%80%93_Women's_lightweight) event.[2] She also competed in [2018](/source/Boxing_at_the_2018_Commonwealth_Games).[3]

She joined the army and served in the 27th regiment of the [Royal Logistic Corps](/source/Royal_Logistic_Corps)[4] where she met her husband, Chez Nihell, who is a [professional boxer](/source/Professional_boxer).[5]
