# Alan Verrinder

**Alan Otto Charles Verrinder** (born 28 July 1955) is an English former [cricketer](/source/Cricket). Verrinder played as a right-handed [batsman](/source/Batsman_(cricket)) who bowled right-arm [fast-medium](/source/Fast_bowling). He was born at [Henley-on-Thames](/source/Henley-on-Thames) in [Oxfordshire](/source/Oxfordshire).[1]

Verrinder made his [first-class cricket](/source/First-class_cricket) debut for [Surrey County Cricket Club](/source/Surrey_County_Cricket_Club) against [Middlesex](/source/Middlesex_County_Cricket_Club) in the [1974 County Championship](/source/1974_County_Championship). He made two further first-class appearances for Surrey, both in 1976, and played in three [List A matches](/source/List_A_cricket) for the county.[2]

Verrinder joined [Kent](/source/Kent_County_Cricket_Club) in 1977, but made just a single first-class appearance against Cambridge University.[2]
