**Alan Parkhurst Dodd** (8 January 1896 – 3 July 1981) was an [entomologist](/source/Entomology) in Australia. He introduced the [Cactoblastis moth](/source/Cactoblastis_cactorum) as a [biological control](/source/Biological_pest_control) for [prickly pear](/source/Prickly_pears_in_Australia). His father was the entomologist [Frederick Parkhurst Dodd](/source/Frederick_Parkhurst_Dodd).

He was featured in the Magnificent Makers exhibition at the [State Library of Queensland](/source/State_Library_of_Queensland) in 2018.[1]
