==Route description==
SR 41 is a continuation of [Florida State Road 87](/source/Florida_State_Road%26nbsp%3B87), leading into Alabama from the [Gulf coast](/source/Gulf_of_Mexico) beaches and [Milton](/source/Milton%2C_Florida). SR 41 begins its route along a two-lane road south of the small town of [Dixonville](/source/Dixonville%2C_Alabama). North of Dixonville, SR 41 intersects [U.S. Route 29](/source/U.S._Route_29_in_Alabama) (US 29) south of [Brewton](/source/Brewton%2C_Alabama). Northbound SR 41 and southbound US 29 share a brief [wrong-way concurrency](/source/wrong-way_concurrency) as they head into Brewton. This [concurrency](/source/Concurrency_(road)) ends when the two highways intersect [US 31](/source/U.S._Route_31_in_Alabama) in Brewton, and US 29 joins US 31.
Just after entering [Conecuh County](/source/Conecuh_County%2C_Alabama), SR 41 intersects [I-65](/source/Interstate_65_in_Alabama), offering motorists a direct route from the [Florida Panhandle](/source/Florida_Panhandle) to [Montgomery](/source/Montgomery%2C_Alabama) and [Birmingham](/source/Birmingham%2C_Alabama). SR 41 continues its northward trajectory as it enters [Monroe County](/source/Monroe_County%2C_Alabama). At [Repton](/source/Repton%2C_Alabama), the highway turns west as it joins [US 84](/source/U.S._Route_84_in_Alabama).
Near [Monroeville](/source/Monroeville%2C_Alabama), the highway once again turns north as it leaves US 84 and begins a brief concurrency with [SR 21](/source/Alabama_State_Route_21). SR 41 continues to the north until it reaches [Camden](/source/Camden%2C_Alabama), the [county seat](/source/county_seat) of [Wilcox County](/source/Wilcox_County%2C_Alabama). From there, the highway turns slightly to the northeast until it reaches its terminus east of [Selma](/source/Selma%2C_Alabama), at [SR 14](/source/Alabama_State_Route_14).

SR 41 was formed in 1957. Until then, the route was designated as SR 93 between the Florida state line and Camden. From Camden to Selma, the route was designated as [SR 43](/source/Alabama_State_Route_43_(pre-1957)).
