# Al Krevis

**Albert Raymond Krevis** (born July 9, 1952) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was an [offensive tackle](/source/Offensive_tackle) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Boston College Eagles](/source/Boston_College_Eagles_football), earning [All-American](/source/College_Football_All-America_Team), All-East, and All-[New England](/source/New_England) honors twice.[1] Krevis played in 13 NFL games; ten for the [New York Jets](/source/New_York_Jets) and three for the [Cincinnati Bengals](/source/Cincinnati_Bengals).[2]

## Early life

Krevis was born in [Providence, Rhode Island](/source/Providence,_Rhode_Island).[3] Raised in the [Lake Hiawatha](/source/Lake_Hiawatha,_New_Jersey) section of [Parsippany–Troy Hills, New Jersey](/source/Parsippany%E2%80%93Troy_Hills,_New_Jersey), Krevis attended [Morris Catholic High School](/source/Morris_Catholic_High_School) in [Denville Township, New Jersey](/source/Denville_Township,_New_Jersey) followed by [Boston College](/source/Boston_College).[4] Krevis statistically only showed his talent in college.

## Football career

While playing for the [Boston College Eagles football](/source/Boston_College_Eagles_football) team, Krevis [lettered](/source/Varsity_letter).[1] He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round, 39th overall in the [1975 NFL draft](/source/1975_NFL_draft), and played three games for them. In 1976, he played ten games for New York Jets.[2]

## Later life

In 1991, he was inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame.[1]
