# Akram Habib

**Akram Habib** is a [Coptic](/source/Copts) Egyptian-British [biblical scholar](/source/Biblical_studies), [pracademic](/source/Pracademic), [social activist](/source/Activism) and [human rights](/source/Human_rights) advocate.[1][2][3][4][5][6] He is best known for his biblical [exegesis](/source/Exegesis) Arabic TV programme *Words of Prophecy* on Alhorreya channel which is concerned with literal, allegorical and mystical hermeneutics of biblical prophecies specifically related to the Christian [eschatological](/source/Eschatology) doctrine of the [Second Coming](/source/Second_Coming) of [Jesus Christ](/source/Jesus_Christ) in an academic method, usually by referring to the original texts of the [Old Testament](/source/Old_Testament) and the [New Testament](/source/New_Testament) of the [Bible](/source/Bible) in various manuscripts and Bible concordances such as [Strong's Concordance](/source/Strong's_Concordance) in comparison with modern Arabic and English Bible translations and to the commentaries of the early [Church Fathers](/source/Church_Fathers) before the 4th century AD.[7][8][9][10]
