**Aizaz Mohammad Khan** (born 21 March 1993) is a Hong Kong international [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who plays as an [all-rounder](/source/All-rounder).[1] He debuted for the [Hong Kong national side](/source/Hong_Kong_national_cricket_team) in 2009, and has since played regularly for the team. He is a graduate of [Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College](/source/Islamic_Kasim_Tuet_Memorial_College).

## Early career

Having played age-group cricket for [Hong Kong Under-19s](/source/Hong_Kong_Under-19_cricket_team) in the [2010 Under-19 World Cup](/source/2010_ICC_Under-19_Cricket_World_Cup),[2] Aizaz made his [World Cricket League](/source/World_Cricket_League) debut for [Hong Kong](/source/Hong_Kong_cricket_team) in the [2011 World Cricket League Division Three](/source/2011_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Division_Three), where he helped Hong Kong earn promotion to that year's [WCL Division Two](/source/2011_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Division_Two). It was in this tournament that he made his [List A](/source/List_A_cricket) debut, against [Uganda](/source/Uganda_national_cricket_team), on 8 April 2011.[3]

He played four further List A matches in the competition, the last coming against [Namibia](/source/Namibia_national_cricket_team).[4] In his five matches, Aizaz scored 71 runs at a [batting average](/source/Batting_average_(cricket)) of 17.75, with a high score of 33.[5] He also took a single wicket in the competition, that of [United Arab Emirates](/source/United_Arab_Emirates_national_cricket_team) batsman [Shaiman Anwar](/source/Shaiman_Anwar).[6]

At the [2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier](/source/2012_ICC_World_Twenty20_Qualifier), played in the [United Arab Emirates](/source/United_Arab_Emirates), Aizaz took ten wickets in eight matches, behind only [Nizakat Khan](/source/Nizakat_Khan) (11 wickets) for Hong Kong.[7] His wickets came at an average of 17.40, and included a man-of-the-match performance, 5/25, against the [United States](/source/United_States_national_cricket_team), who were 101 all out in response to Hong Kong's 177/4 in the tournament's 11th place play-off.[8]

## International career

Hong Kong's performance at the [2014 World Cup Qualifier](/source/2014_Cricket_World_Cup_Qualifier) allowed them to regain the ODI status they had previously held. Hong Kong also qualified for the group stage of the [2014 ICC World Twenty20](/source/2014_ICC_World_Twenty20), and Aizaz made his [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) debut during the tournament, against [Nepal](/source/Nepal_national_cricket_team).[9] He went on to make his [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) debut for Hong Kong in November 2014, [against Papua New Guinea in Australia](/source/Hong_Kong_cricket_team_against_Papua_New_Guinea_in_Australia_in_2014%E2%80%9315).[10] On debut, he scored 42 runs batting eighth – his highest List A score.[11] [Hong Kong toured Sri Lanka in the same month](/source/Hong_Kong_cricket_team_against_Nepal_in_Sri_Lanka_in_2014%E2%80%9315) to play Nepal, and Aizaz was named the man of the match in the single Twenty20 International the two teams played, taking 2/4 from four overs (as well as two catches) and top-scoring with 21 runs in Hong Kong's two-wicket victory.[12]

In August 2018, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup Qualifier](/source/2018_Asia_Cup_Qualifier) tournament.[13] Hong Kong won the qualifier tournament, and he was then named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2018 Asia Cup](/source/2018_Asia_Cup).[14]

In December 2018, he was named as the captain of Hong Kong's team for the [2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup](/source/2018_ACC_Emerging_Teams_Asia_Cup).[15] He was the leading wicket-taker for Hong Kong in the tournament, with five dismissals in three matches.[16] In April 2019, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the [2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two](/source/2019_ICC_World_Cricket_League_Division_Two) tournament in Namibia.[17]

In September 2019, he was named as the captain of Hong Kong's [Twenty20 International](/source/Twenty20_International) (T20I) team for the [2019–20 Oman Pentangular Series](/source/2019%E2%80%9320_Oman_Pentangular_Series) and the [2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier](/source/2019_ICC_T20_World_Cup_Qualifier) in the United Arab Emirates, after [Anshuman Rath](/source/Anshuman_Rath) quit the side to pursue a career in India.[18][19][20] He was the leading wicket-taker for Hong Kong in the T20 World Cup Qualifier, with six dismissals in seven matches.[21]

In November 2019, he was named as the captain of Hong Kong's squad for the [2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup](/source/2019_ACC_Emerging_Teams_Asia_Cup) in Bangladesh.[22] In November 2019, he was named as the captain of Hong Kong's squad for the [Cricket World Cup Challenge League B](/source/2019_Oman_Cricket_World_Cup_Challenge_League_B) tournament in Oman.[23] In May 2022, he was named in Hong Kong's side for the [2022 Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B](/source/2022_Uganda_Cricket_World_Cup_Challenge_League_B) tournament.[24]
