He is the current leader of the [Agrarian Environmentalist Party](/source/Environmentalist_Agrarian_Party) (PAA) and has served multiple terms in the [Albanian Parliament](/source/Parliament_of_Albania). Duka has been involved in both government and coalition politics and is known for his public statements on agricultural and political issues.

== Biography ==
He was born on 22 January 1958 in [Shijak](/source/Shijak), in the [People's Socialist Republic of Albania](/source/People's_Socialist_Republic_of_Albania). He graduated in 1981 from the Higher Agricultural Institute of the [University of Tirana](/source/University_of_Tirana), later on he completed a additional qualification course in 1998 for soy and maize in [United States of America](/source/United_States), financed by [USAID](/source/United_States_Agency_for_International_Development).
