For the Frankish monk, see [Agrestius of Luxeuil](/source/Agrestius_of_Luxeuil).

**Agrestius** (fl. 433–441) was the [bishop of Lugo](/source/Bishop_of_Lugo) in the Roman province of [Gallaecia](/source/Gallaecia). He attended the [Council of Orange](/source/Council_of_Orange_(441)) in the year 441. He is usually identified with the author of the *Versus Agresti episcopi de fide ad Avitum episcopum*, a poem and letter addressed to [Avitus](/source/Avitus), then prefect of Gaul. The chronicler [Hydatius](/source/Hydatius), in his account of 433, suggests that Agrestius had [Priscillianist](/source/Priscillianist) leanings.
