# Aggrey Chiyangi

**Aggrey Chiyangi** (born 5 June 1964) is a Zambian former [football](/source/Association_football) player and current manager of [Green Eagles](/source/Green_Eagles_F.C.).

## Club career

Born in [Kitwe](/source/Kitwe), Chiyangi attended [Kitwe Boys Secondary School](/source/Kitwe_Boys_Secondary_School), playing for the school team. Upon leaving school, Chiyangi signed for [Power Dynamos](/source/Power_Dynamos_F.C.), playing for the club between 1984 and 1997.[1]

## International career

Chiyangi made his debut for [Zambia](/source/Zambia_national_football_team) on 23 May 1993, in a 1–0 loss against [Malawi](/source/Malawi_national_football_team). On 11 July 1993, Chiyangi scored his first, and only, goal for Zambia in a 3–0 win against [South Africa](/source/South_Africa_national_football_team). In total, Chiyangi made 28 appearances for Zambia, scoring once.[2]

## Managerial career

Following his playing career, Chiyangi moved into management, managing [Green Buffaloes](/source/Green_Buffaloes_F.C.), [Power Dynamos](/source/Power_Dynamos_F.C.), [Chambishi](/source/Chambishi_F.C.) as well as [Botswana Premier League](/source/Botswana_Premier_League) club [Lobtrans Gunners](/source/Extension_Gunners_FC).[1] In March 2014, Chiyangi was appointed manager of [Zanaco](/source/Zanaco_F.C.).[3] In 2015, Chiyangi joined [Nkana](/source/Nkana_F.C.) as manager,[4] before his sacking in January 2017.[5] In June 2017, Chiyangi was named manager of [Green Eagles](/source/Green_Eagles_F.C.).[6] Between 2019 and 2020, Chiyangi was caretaker manager of the [Zambia national team](/source/Zambia_national_football_team).[7]
