Aeros-2 Aeros-2 with the Aeros Profi TL wing General information Type Ultralight trike National origin Ukraine Manufacturer Aeros Status In production History Developed from Aeros-1

The **Aeros-2** is a [Ukrainian](/source/Ukraine) [ultralight trike](/source/Ultralight_trike), designed and produced by [Aeros](/source/Aeros) of [Kyiv](/source/Kyiv). The aircraft is supplied as a complete ready-to-fly aircraft or as kit for [amateur construction](/source/Homebuilt_aircraft).[1][2][3]

In the [United States](/source/United_States) the design is marketed as the **Venture** and **Velocity**.[2][3]

## Design and development

Developed from the earlier [Aeros-1](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aeros-1&action=edit&redlink=1), the Aeros-2 features a [cable-braced](/source/Flying_wires) [hang glider](/source/Hang_glider)-style [high-wing](/source/High-wing), weight-shift controls, a two-seats-in-[tandem](/source/Tandem) open cockpit, [tricycle landing gear](/source/Tricycle_landing_gear) and a single engine in [pusher configuration](/source/Pusher_configuration).[1][2]

The aircraft is made from square tubing, with its wing covered in [Dacron](/source/Dacron) sailcloth. Its 10 m (32.8 ft) span wing is supported by a single tube-type [kingpost](/source/Kingpost) and uses an "A" frame control bar. The occupants are housed in streamlined [fibreglass](/source/Fibreglass) [cockpit fairing](/source/Aircraft_fairing). Engines available include the twin cylinder, [two-stroke](/source/Two-stroke), liquid-cooled 64 hp (48 kW) [Rotax 582](/source/Rotax_582) and the four cylinder [four-stroke](/source/Four-stroke) 80 hp (60 kW) [Rotax 912UL](/source/Rotax_912UL) and 100 hp (75 kW) [912ULS](/source/Rotax_912). Engine mounts for [BMW](/source/BMW) and [Subaru](/source/Subaru) engines are also available. Available wings to be mated to the carriage are the [Aeros Profi](/source/Aeros_Profi), [Aeros Stranger](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aeros_Stranger&action=edit&redlink=1), [Aeros Stream](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aeros_Stream&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Aeros Still](/source/Aeros_Still). The wing-mounting pylon is foldable, allowing the wing to be installed by one person. Floats and ski [landing gear](/source/Landing_gear) are optional.[1][2]
