Sturt returned to Australia in 2007 and joined the [Melbourne Tigers](/source/Melbourne_United), where he played two seasons and won an NBL championship in his rookie season. He also played for the Tigers' [affiliate team](/source/Melbourne_Tigers_(NBL1_South)) in the [Big V](/source/Big_V), where he won [championships](/source/List_of_Big_V_champions) in 2008 and 2009.
