**Adam Chadaj** (Polish pronunciation: [\[ˈadam ˈxadaj\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Polish); born 1 May 1984) is a professional [tennis](/source/Tennis) player from Poland.

## Biography

Chadaj was born in [Warsaw](/source/Warsaw) and turned professional in 2001.

His first [Challenger](/source/ATP_Challenger_Series) title came with [Stéphane Robert](/source/St%C3%A9phane_Robert) in the doubles event at the 2004 [Poznań Open](/source/Pozna%C5%84_Open).[1]

He represented the [Poland Davis Cup team](/source/Poland_Davis_Cup_team) in a 2005 tie against [Estonia](/source/Estonia_Davis_Cup_team) in Gdynia and featured in two singles rubbers, for wins over [Mait Künnap](/source/Mait_K%C3%BCnnap) and Mikk Irdoja.[2][3] Soon after he made his debut in an ATP Tour level tournament when he was a wild card entrant into the main draw of the [2005 Idea Prokom Open](/source/2005_Idea_Prokom_Open) in Sopot. He won his first round match against [Alessio di Mauro](/source/Alessio_di_Mauro), then lost in the second round to [José Acasuso](/source/Jos%C3%A9_Acasuso).[4] On the Challenger circuit in 2005 his wins included [Julien Benneteau](/source/Julien_Benneteau), [Nicolas Mahut](/source/Nicolas_Mahut) and [Sam Querrey](/source/Sam_Querrey).

In 2006 he won a second Challenger title, the doubles event in [Telde](/source/Telde), Spain, with Sweden's [Michael Ryderstedt](/source/Michael_Ryderstedt).[5]

He made another ATP Tour tournament appearance in 2007 at the [Orange Prokom Open](/source/2007_Orange_Prokom_Open). Competing in the doubles, Chadaj and partner [Marcin Gawron](/source/Marcin_Gawron) were beaten in the opening round.[6]
