***Acanthoderus***[1] is a [monotypic genus](/source/Monotypic_genus) of [stick insects](/source/Phasmatodea) in the tribe [Pachymorphini](/source/Pachymorphini). The single species ***Acanthoderus spinosus*** has a known distribution in Australia.[2]

From 1859 until 1875 the similar but unrelated *[Hoploclonia gecko](/source/Hoploclonia_gecko)* was placed in the genus *Acanthoderus*.
