# Acanmul

**Acanmul** is a [Maya](/source/Maya_civilization) archaeological site in the [Mexican state](/source/Mexican_state) of [Campeche](/source/Campeche). It is located 25 km (16 mi) northeast of [Campeche city](/source/Campeche,_Campeche).[1]
