**Aaron Pointer** (born November 17, 1975), better known by his [stage name](/source/Stage_name) **Abstract Rude**, is an American rapper from [Los Angeles, California](/source/Los_Angeles%2C_California). Pointer's career began at Los Angeles' historical [Good Life Cafe](/source/Good_Life_Cafe), a renowned [open mic](/source/Open_mic) venue.[1] He would practice his rapping every Thursday night at Good Life. He was a co-founder of the [Project Blowed](/source/Project_Blowed) crew that emerged from the Good Life scene. He is the rapper of Abstract Tribe Unique, alongside dancers Zulu Butterfly and Irie Lion King, [turntablist](/source/Turntablism) DJ Drez and [producer](/source/Record_producer) Fat Jack.[2] He was also a member of [Haiku d'Etat](/source/Haiku_d'Etat) with [Myka 9](/source/Myka_9) and [Aceyalone](/source/Aceyalone)[3], The A-Team with Aceyalone[4], and [Code Name: Scorpion](/source/Code_Name%3A_Scorpion) with [Moka Only](/source/Moka_Only) and [Prevail](/source/Prevail_(rapper)).[5] In 2009, he released the album *[Rejuvenation](/source/Rejuvenation_(Abstract_Rude_album))* on [Rhymesayers Entertainment](/source/Rhymesayers_Entertainment).[6] It was entirely produced by Vitamin D.[7]
