**Aboadze** is a town in the [Western region](/source/Western_Region_(Ghana)) of [Ghana](/source/Ghana). It serves both as a [dormitory](/source/Dormitory) town as well as an industrialized zone. It also houses Ghana's first [thermal plant](/source/Thermal_plant) for [electricity](/source/Electricity) production.[1]

## Geography

The town is located 20 kilometres from the centre of [Takoradi](/source/Takoradi), the capital of the Western region. The town is bordered on the east by [Shama](/source/Shama%2C_Ghana), on the west by [Inchaban](/source/Inchaban) and on the south by the [Atlantic Ocean](/source/Atlantic_Ocean).
