**Abigail "Abbey" Guthrie** is a New Zealand former [tennis](/source/Tennis) player.[1] On the Junior Circuit, she peaked at No. 360 in 2008.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] She and partner [Kristi Boxx](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kristi_Boxx&action=edit&redlink=1) won two doubles titles on the [ITF Women's Circuit](/source/International_Tennis_Federation) in 2013.[2]

## Career

Guthrie competed at the [Auckland Open](/source/WTA_Auckland_Open) in the summer of 2012/2013.[3][4] She also made her debut for the [New Zealand Fed Cup team](/source/New_Zealand_Fed_Cup_team) in 2013.[5] She holds a 9–1 record in competition after the 2014 Asia/Oceania Group Round Robin Tournament in [Astana](/source/Astana), Kazakhstan.[6] In 2014, again as a wildcard, she and partner [Sacha Jones](/source/Sacha_Jones) defeated second seeds [Marina Erakovic](/source/Marina_Erakovic) and [Cara Black](/source/Cara_Black) in the first round.[7][8][9][10]
